☆ 20 things I've learned in my 20 years ☆

Sunday, May 21, 2017

This week I'm turning 21 and I want to share with you some of the things that I've learned in my 20 years. I don't think that maturity hit you at any age, maturity is on your mind and the experiences you live make you grow as a person.

✫ Never explain your dreams or decisions to anyone.
✫ Forgive other at your own time, but remember that forgiveness is the key to freedom.
✫ Just because someone have an opinion of you, doesn't make them right or that opinion define you.
✫ It's never too late to make a change for yourself.
✫ Sometimes you have to make your own mistakes so you can learn from them, even when people tell you not to do it.
✫ You can't expect people to be the same way you are or the way you want them to be.
✫ Staying at home when everyone's out partying doesn't mean you don't have a life.
✫ Traveling to other countries/places make you see how small you are in this world.
✫ Do your life your way. What works for someone won't necessarily work for you, that's the magic of life and that's why people like/love you, for being you.
✫ Taking the risk can take you out of the doubt.
✫ Health is more important than appearance.
✫ Other people don't always wants our help.
✫ Keep your circle tight.
✫ Don't let the energy of others affect yours.
✫ Follow your passion not matter what other people think or say.
✫ Loving yourself is hard but you have to.
✫ Invest more in experiences than in material things.
✫ Doing grownup things doesn't make you a grown up. Buying houseware, paying for rent and all that stuff doesn't make you more mature. Maturity is in the mind not in the age
✫ You are lucky to have everything you have in your life, stop crying for shitty stuff, for someone ignoring you or for never receiving a message for a person you wanted to text you.
✫ Love your parents with all your heart, and make them feel special, they are getting old and you don't know for how long you are going to have them.
